In 2021, the G-Unity Foundation and Horizon United Group launched a groundbreaking educational intervention program within the Houston Independent School District, beginning with Kashmere, Wheatley, and Worthing High Schools.
​
Now in its second year of expansion, the G-Unity Business Lab has grown to include North Forest, Washington, and Yates High Schools.
​
This year’s program was accelerated, taking place only during the second semester—challenging students to quickly immerse themselves in the rigorous, real-world experience of an MBA-style business environment. In the latter phase of the program, students formed companies and developed business concepts, ultimately selecting a product or service to pitch for seed funding.

With support from their dedicated teachers, coaches, coordinators, mentors—led by Summer Reeves and her exceptional team—and through collaboration with The Ion Houston and Microsoft, these students are ready to share their visions with you today.

You will be hearing from the semi-finalists representing all six participating schools. Each judge has received comprehensive business plans that provide deeper insights to support their final evaluations.
